Let this 8-year old corpse rot.Īh, the sweet stench of fan hatred. Those rabid female fans will never allow for Kira to be wrong about anything. It's but an excuse to churn out the mandatory Real Grades of Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice.

And, already overpowered as SF/IJ are, there's little room to upgrade them any further for a sequel.Īpparently, the idea for the Cosmic Era movie (aliens) was already used for Awakening of the Trailblazer.ĭestiny HD does not deserve mention, threads or anything else. Strike Freedom, Infinite Justice and Akatsuki curbstomped everything with FLAWLESS VICTORY. With what's left of the EA in tatters and Lacus calling the shots on ZAFT (not to mention her two personal WMDs), there's no return to the old order.Ĭhris MAHQ wrote:He (Kira) asks Shinn to fight together with them, and Shinn cries and says yes.Īs things are, there's nobody to fight against now. The status quo you speak of was obliterated. Whatever Durandal said to Kira in the finale is contradicted by the facts. ZAFT captures Daedalus and fires Requiem to Arzachel, killing Copland and the remaining EA fleet: Murrue says (direct quote from the show) "there's nothing left of Earth's forces". Djibril escapes to Iceland (Phase 38: Earth and ZAFT forces in a common front against Heaven's Base), then Orb, to Daedalus Base, where the Girty Lue is finally destroyed by Rey in the Legend. After Durandal's speech, the leaders of LOGOS are hunted one by one (Phase 35). We see East Asian forces joining ZAFT's navy in Gibraltar (Phase 36). LOGOS attacks its own allied territory with the Destroy, culminating in the battle of Berlin (Phases 31-32). The world of CE is also pretty divided, with the EA being an alliance between different Earth nations, led by the AF and influenced by Blue Cosmos/LOGOSĭid you watch the show or not? Halfway through Destiny, the Earth Alliance ceases to be an Alliance. The point in Durandal and Kira's conversation was that the source of conflict is still there. Plot-wise, there cannot be a Destiny sequel, movie or otherwise.ĭestiny's plot did not prevent the possibility of a sequel.

That chance was murdered by Final Plus:Įrisie wrote:I keep hearing that over and over, and it doesn't make sense. Episode 50 left the possibility of a sequel with Shinn still seeking his revenge against Kira.

PLANT is ruled by Darth Lacus, with Kira as a ZAFT officer now. In Destiny, the Earth Alliance ceases to exist (direct quote from a character after Requiem fires against Arzachel, killing President Copland), divided and with its military in tatters. Londo Bell never ruled the Federation, nor Celestial Being ruled its Federation.

In every other Gundam series (and that includes SEED, to an extent) the main characters were but a cog in a large setting, within an established balance of power. Plot-wise, there cannot be a Destiny sequel, movie or otherwise. I keep hearing that over and over, and it doesn't make sense. If Stella's death was the same in the game, then I don't see why the game maker would make Kira come to that conclusion unless it's just to appease Shinn (or his fans), which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does make it almost meaningless when trying to compare between anime and game. So if the game differs from the anime in how Stella died, then it's just a case of the game being different. Kira is an enemy and that's all there is to it. As for Shinn's anger, as I said before, there's no need to justify it in front of Kira. Then again, it depends on what Shinn wants to say.įrom the description posted, the confrontation in the game seems to conclude with Kira accepting "that he did some serious mistakes and Shinn's anger is justified." Now, I don't know how it was in the game, but in the anime, Kira only resumed his attack when Stella began to charge her weapons again. True, there could be tension (mostly for Shinn) when working together, and this may also be true for the anime if they ever made a sequel. I think you are imagining it like they are always on opposite sides or something in the game, when, your player and the other character eventually join forces, including all the soldiers following the other side. it's pretty understandable Shinn would say something to him if they have to fight on the same team together. They probably did have tension just being around one another, I mean.

consider that they end up on the same team working together in Super Robot Wars since they started to fight together against a common enemy.
